Paweł Pruski (Pruski) – Polish composer, electronic music producer, educator, and creator of projects at the intersection of sound art and new media. For years, he has been exploring the boundaries of ambient and experimental music, combining mature artistic practice with an academic background acquired at Jagiellonian University.

In his work, he combines organic sounds, field recordings, and advanced modular synthesis with generative systems (including Max/MSP) and probabilistic algorithms. Utilizing a custom modular system, he investigates the relationships between biology, auditory perception, attention, and musical structure, translating philosophical concepts and mathematical randomness into multi-layered acoustic spaces.

The artist presents his work in diverse forms: from producer albums and film soundtracks to immersive concerts and interdisciplinary installations. His key projects include Secoundsound (Sounds from Recycling) – an ecological installation based on material recovery; Resonant Affection – an interactive installation at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art responding to the physiological signals of participants; Drifting Stones – an album created in collaboration with photographer Paul Cupido (released on the French label IIKKI); Spatial Improvisations – a concert in 4D Spatial Audio format realized at MONOM in Berlin; as well as the performative Deep Listening Concert at the Łaźnia Nowa Theatre.

Pruski has released original albums on esteemed domestic and foreign labels, such as Whitelabrecs (UK), Crysalisound (Italy), and Four Tapes (Poland). His album Playground achieved the status of one of the most important releases in the history of the British imprint Whitelabrecs, gaining critical and public acclaim.

He performs internationally – having given concerts at the Pingshan Art Museum and Oil Club in Shenzhen, Twenty Alpha in Hong Kong, as well as at festivals and institutions in Germany, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Norway, and China. In Poland, he collaborates with leading cultural institutions such as the National Stare Teatr in Kraków, Zachęta, the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków, the Silesian Museum, Cricoteka, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, the Ethnographic Museum, and the WRO Art Center, as well as presenting his music at events such as Tauron Nowa Muzyka, the Ambient Festival, Freeform Festival, the Kraków Film Festival, and the Silent Film Festival.
